Can You Make More Money Through Google Adsense?

Tired of seeing clicks that are paying your $0.02? There is something you can do about it.

Many adsense publishers bemoan that they are typically only getting around $0.02 a click. One look at their content generally suggests why: its the content. Advertisers are not going to pay big bucks for keywords where the end product is rather reasonably priced. So topics such as a new baby or vegetables for example, are more likely to receive a $0.02 click than car insurance due to the price of the products associated with the keywords. Not surprisingly, car insurance policies can run from $50 000 to several million dollars. Baby socks or veggies on the other hand?

Another tip to consider is that if you focus on keywords that include the terms "cheap", "inexpensive" or "free" products, its highly unlikely the ads that appear will supply you with the best paying ads. Remember, if the advertiser is selling an itemspecific that is "cheap", "inexpensive" or "free" its unlikely they are bidding very much on their keywords. So, what options are left for you?

While I will touch on how the layout of your site can impact your adsense revenue, lets look at your content - namely what we will call your money pages. So what exactly are your money pages?

Simply put, these are the pages where your best hopes for higher paying ads rest. So what if all of your pages are getting $0.10 a click. Think about related topics that your visitors may be interested in, that suggests advertisers will pay more money to advertise on your site.

If your site is on cooking, what products do you use to cook with? Is there some type of gizmo you use to help prepare your food? Cutlery, cookware and bakeware all payout larger amounts than items found in a recipe for cherry cheesecake.

What if your site is about newborn babies? Every dad and mom wants to make sure that they are providing the proper care for their new additions. How they made sure their financial plan has been adjusted to provide insurance coverage for the family? What about college savings? Retirement funds? What about clothes?

If your site is on wedding favors, consider a couple of articles covering higher end wedding favors. While most wedding favor sites cover the topic of reasonably priced wedding favors, what about the demographic who isnt concerned about the total expenses of their wedding? Is there not a certain type of wedding favor for the higher end of income earners that you could speak to? While the number of clicks may be lower, their payout will more than make up for it.

Think about the advertisers when looking into your money pages. Is there an item that they sell for a higher dollar value that your visitors may be interested in?

If you are getting only $0.02 a click, more invariably than not, its your content.
