A QUICK LOOK AT THE FORMATION OF GOOGLE Google Inc. was launched on September 7, 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, whose mission statement was "to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful." The think tank at Google started wondering if this same business model would work for other people's websites as well as Google's, so they started a Beta test of an affiliate program that would enable any webSite approved by Google to insert contextual advertising into their main web pages like Google already had on their main results pages. That new program was called "AdSense".

Now that doesn't mean that you have to generate that site's huge number of hits per day, it just means that you have to have the POTENTIAL to hit that number if the planets happen to align for you one day.
