AdSense For Search
AdSense's Search Engine is officially titled "AdSense For Search." This is a companion to the AdSense For Content program. The main difference is that AdSense For Search allows you to place Google search boxes on your web site's pages and thus have a search tool directly on your web site. Whenever one of your visitors then uses this search box, Google will provide them with AdWords advertisements that are relevant to their search. Of course, you will be paid for each of these advertisements that your visitor then clicks on. Unfortunately though, if your visitor doesn't click on anything, then you are not going to make any money.
1.You will need to be adding interesting articles to your web site on a regular basis. This is important because the more content that is on your web site, the more difficult it will become for your visitor to quickly find the information that they are looking for. If your AdSense For Search is in a prominent place your visitor will then be encouraged to use it to find what they are looking for.
2.Make sure that you take advantage of this program's statistics. They will tell you what you will need to add to your web site and how you can improve upon your site's design.
3.You will need to change your AdSense For Search's layout until you find the 1 that works best for you. Of course, just like anything else, there are both benefits and drawbacks to using this program. The main benefit is that you will receive a great keyword report that will help you get to know your web site's users. By taking the time to get to know your visitors you will be better able to create the type of content that they are searching for. This is going to encourage them to stick around longer and thus increase your web site's profitability. (To find this report simply go to the "Reports" tab and click on "Advanced Report." Here you will be able to select the date range that you want to view.) On the other hand, the drawbacks of using this program include:
1.This program will not tell you everything. In fact, any word is going to have to be used at least twice before it will even show up in your report. From there, in order for you to actually see it, it will have to be one of the top 25 search terms.
2.You are basically gambling as to whether your visitor will actually click on an ad or simply leave your web site altogether.
3.You have no control over what keywords AdSense shows. Unfortunately, most of the keywords that are shown are not the high paying ones. As you can see, you are going to get out of this program only what you are willing to put into it. This is why it is important to take time to learn how to manipulate the program in such a way as it will work best for you. Of course, you must do this without breaking Google's TOS otherwise you will have your account terminated.
