AdSense is one of the most popular ways to earn money. Even though it's quite impossible to earn cash instantly, you can generate a lot of money over some period of time. It's easy to use and to set up.
Most people are using AdSense, and unfortunately, without any significant success. If you belong to that group of people, then I believe you haven't done anything to actually improve your AdSense revenue.
But in reality, you need to create fresh and unique content very often. You have to pay attention to the keyword you choose, you have to do link building and website promotion.
In order to improve your income, you should do some changes on your website.

Most of all, you should tweak ad color and ad placement. But that is all the part of the process your website should go through.
First of all you should make your ads look like part of your website. So go and set up ad colors to match the colors of your website. You want to make ads seem as a natural part of your website because visitors don't usually want to click on ads. You want to trick them to think that your ads are menu or simply your links. Link units are usually used in sidebars because they look like menu especially if font matches your website's font.
Other thing you should take care of is ads placement. There are 3 general rules you should follow. You should place ads closer to the top, as close as possible to the left and leave as much white space around them as you can.
That's really all you have to know. Another important fact is that usually large rectangle converts the best.
Next thing you can experiment with is ad color. You can change color of link, description, URL, background and border. Usually, ad color is based on template color. Ads should either be in contrast with template or should be blended. Another interesting thing is that a lot of people put blue links. They do it because internet surfers are used to clicking on blue hyperlinks so that should be stimulating.
The idea behind this is to simply test. There are so many possible variation and by testing, you can only increase your earnings.
Try to apply those tips to your website. If you see an increase, excellent. But if you don't, just continue with testing.
